WTB Aftermarket exhaust
I'm in the market for a fairly priced aftermarket exhaust. Preferably something that does not require rejetting. Please let me know if you have any recommendations or pipes for sale!
Thank you,
Steve

While it is best to at the set up your carbs per 9541Hawk's carb set up thread https://www.superhawkforum.com/forum...238#post358238
This basic set up works for any pipes. As for the slippons them selfs, someone on the forum has a set of microns for sale right now that isn't a bad deal in the classifieds, and if you wanted the "most bang for your buck" and a new set of slippons, danmoto offers a good set of low cost new slippons, but they are pretty loud. No matter what at least getting the basic set up on your carbs is best with any pipes. Hope this helps.

You should also check-out LeoVince Oval EVOII Slip-Ons (Part#: 6842). I have them on my bike and they sound great -- like an Italian pipe should -- without being too loud. No changes to carb jetting required with the 'optional quiet inserts' in place. You can remove the inserts to get a really deep/loud sound, but you would need to re-jet the carbs for this. Good luck!

Interesting. So if I was to purchase a Dan-Moto pipe with baffles, I wouldn't need to rejet? I looked at the carb setup thread, and I must admit, I'm a bit hesitant about pulling the carbs apart...
Thanks,
Steve

You will not "need" to re-jet with any aftermarket slipons. They do not affect the bike performance wise much (other than weight). Full systems with re-designed headers will.
That being said, both a stock system and a system with slipons will benefit from a carb tuning. Don't let the complexity intimidate you. It's not extremely hard, but it does take time.

Thanks! I would ideally like to run Dan-Motos without baffles. But I'm worried about flat spots, loss of torque, and stumbling -- essentially a bike that no longer performs smoothly. Am I worrying too much? If it helps, my setup is entirely stock.
