Hi there, I'm sure others will chip in but the calipers that you mention were never particularly good. They might look good with their 6 pots but they are often changed by owners of the K1 to the two pots of slightly later models, I think the main reason was brake fade due to over heating. Your best bet is SP1/Blade (I think 954?) calipers and MC.

The nice thing about those is that they do bolt on directly with no mods to our bikes and are a huge improvement over stock. However they are rare and expensive.
The 4 pot non SRAD GSXR 750 calipers from around 2002 (if I am remembering right) are also direct bolt on and are at least as good.
With either GSXR setup if you use their Master you will have to figure out a way to mount the reservoir because on the suzuki they mount to the clip on directly, and Honda mounts theirs to the master itself, so there is no mount on the Honda clipon for the res.
RC51 or F4i brakes (same as each other with only their color different) are easier and cheaper to find, are very good and also have a wide range of pads available. However they need a bit of grinding to fit the stock forks.
954 brakes are also good, but not quite as nice as the RC51/F4i option with slightly smaller pistons in both the calipers and Master, and they also need grinding to fit.
