WANTED (Info?): Aftermarket Seat

Bought my hawk about 5 months ago. Though winter in Texas isn't too bad, it does shorten the length of time anyone with half a brain or a truck is willing to spend on a bike. Now that it's warming up again, I'm back to daily riding. I've started to notice that the factory seat is hopeless when it comes to any ride lasting much over an hour. I'm starting to seriously contemplate going with something aftermarket. Most of my friends ride cruisers, so they're no help. Can anyone make a suggestion or two of a good, resonably affordable aftermarket seat of the '98 Hawk? If anyone has one that you're looking to replace just because you're looking for something new, I'd be very interrested to hear from you. Thanks in advance!

Would have been affordable until I tossed the chain going in excess of 100...like an idiot. Cracked up the left crank cover, broke the front sprocket, and busted part of the actual crankcase off. Have no CLUE how I'm going to fix it...but it WILL happen.
Thanks for the site. Definitely going to check that one out...

Spencers sounds like a great deal if its only $50-$100 for the whole job. Anyone ever use him?

Its nice that he can get the seat angle set to your bars as well.

I've got a sargent and a spencer/LD.

Spencer for commuting/less than 100m.

Sargent for longer.

either very well worth it.

+1 on Spencer's. Did the Gel upgrade, $75 plus shipping. Custom shaped. It is more comfortable than a stocker by far. MUCH lighter than Corbin's and Spencer will actually has customer service skills unlike Corbin.... From what I can gather, not quite up to the same level of comfort as a Corbin or Sargent but close. And you get to save a bunch of cash for other projects or simply more beer!!

You guys have definitley perked my interest. I need more info on this Spencer place....

On a comfort scale of 1-10 with a stocker being?? What would you rate the spencers and a Corbin or Sargent???

10 being highest comfort possible for Shawk.
