VTR 1000F Right Side Fairings Plastics (Two of them!)

I have two (2) right side fairings for a 98 VTR1000F Super Hawk.

The first is the stock bright red that came on 98's and the such. This has NOT been painted or modified at all and its only major flaw is that the top 1" or 2" of the ear (where it surrounds the windshield) is broken off. This can easily be repaird with a little glue and is not load baring at all. There are minor nicks here and there from normal road use but nothing else major. ($180 Shipped)

The second is another right side fairing for the earlier style hawks. This one is painted a little darker color red. This is in one peice with many of the brackets on the back reinforced with apoxy. ($180 Shipped)

I also have some of the plastic duct work that is behind these but will have to check. Can throw in with purchase. Will sell both for $300 shipped together if you know someone else who needs one or want a spare!

These fairings are extremely hard to find now and new ones can cost you crazy money (if you can find them)

I am going to try to get pictures up this weekend, you can email me with any questions wrxdwp@snet.net. Thanks!

Earlier style? I thought they were all the same.

And I'm positive that they are all the same... So no, they aren't hard to find... But yeah, if in good nick they will cost you a pretty penny... These however are damaged...

Earlier style meaning NOT the RC51 style. A lot of people get confused

And yes, finding Side fairings not smashed up or rashed to hell are hard to find. Ive been in the situation where I needed one and had a hard time finding them.

But thanks for your input!

Obviously you are one of them...

The VTR-1000F and the RC-51 are two different bikes... No interchangeable parts... So they are not "earlier style" or "later style"...

Besides, the RC-51 was made until 2006, and the VTR-1000F was made until 2008, so if that was the case these would then be "later style"...

Wrx,

I wouldn't argue with tweety on this one.... he pretty much knows everything.

Good luck with the sale though!

Cheers!

Eh... Really?

Damn, I must have forgotten a lot then... No, really I dunno that much...

wrxdwpsti: Likewise as been said, good luck with the sale...
I was just interested in having the questions cleared up, not really hurting your sale, but your description was a bit confusing...
