trades...?

Im thinking of selling my superhawk so i can get an f4i. I got a bit into the hawk cosmetically and performance wise. I would like to get $3800 for it.

Any one want to trade for an f4i? or buy mine?

Why not? Parts are a dime a dozen on ebay for F4s if you crash them...

I don't know about the lighter bit, I owned the F4 right before the Superhawk, and to be honest they feel damn near close because of the engine layout.

The F4 has more midrange power than an F4i so...With stock gearing I couldn't wheelie the F4 until I dropped a tooth on it. Drop a tooth and it pulls real nice. With stock gearing on the Superhawk I can manage a mini wheelie. That said its still cheaper to find parts for an F4.

Anyhoo the F4 will feel about the same weight as the Hawk when moving it around as the tank and bike underneath you is way wider due to the I4 layout.

You will also have to stroke the hell out of the gearbox to get any sort of usable power from it sans just getting the bike to move. Ok, that might be an exaggeration but you do have to shift a lot more than a Superhawk. Otherwise the peak power is about the same with the Hawk depending on where you are in the powerband. If you are not happy with the hawk not sure if you would be happy with an F4 either. In hindsight after having both bikes for a spell the major difference between the two is the amount of time spent shifting...with the Hawk you clearly spent less time shifting, when on the street (I've never tracked a Hawk) everything else is practically a push when you mod the Hawk a little (brakes pads, lines and fork springs).
