SOLD: 1999 VTR1000F $2000
1999 Superhawk with 35,167 miles as of right now. I have decided to go back into riding off road and will pick up a track bike this spring. I believe I'm done riding on the streets for right now.
I bought this bike from the original family last October 27th. The original owner is the uncle of the young man I bought this bike from, it had stock exhaust and in June of 2013 a new battery, new sprockets and new chain were installed. it hit the ground at some point in it's life as you can see in the picture I'm pointing at the crack and you can see the mirror scuff.
I paid $1800 for this bike and I have installed the following:
used D&D exhaust
Brand new Dunlop Q2's with less than 200 miles on them now
Tokico 6 piston calipers from a 2001 Gixxer 1000
Spiegler stainless brake lines on the front, the rear is not installed yet
Vesrah front brake pads
If a forum member buys this bike, they can also have every All Ballz bearing I have for it that includes:
Front and rear wheel bearings
Front stem and race and fork seals
They can also have the Kreiger MCCT's that I just paid $69 for, you can have these as soon as I can find them. I have misplaced them in the garage I believe.
I will not take one penny below $2000. I realize this is not the optimal time of the year to sell a bike, but I will also have this on CL looking for a trade for a dirt bike. I have no idea what kind of dirt bike I want yet, so if you have one and want to trade, let me know so I can research a bit. I don't want a 125, I'm 6'4" and weigh 250#. It's going to have to be a 250 2T minimum. No TTR's or anything like that, this won't be my first dirt bike. Thanks for shopping. I'm Located in Chattanooga, TN.

I've had both KX's and CR's (all two strokes.. I'm with you, I don't like the new four stroke machines, they are great and all, but its just not the same) and yeah the KX's made good power, but I always seemed to have problems with them. Never had issue 1 with the honda's.. The Kawi's did seem to have a more comfortable power band however. The CR500 was a light switch.
Beautiful bike, I would have bought it instead of the 98 I did get in August at the dealer for 2900. Had 32k miles, but it had a corbin seat, double bubble, and heli bars, physically it was in similar condition though. Still had stock CCT's so I had to shell out the extra money for them. No lower fairing though. Your price is defiantly a good one and I will let my buddy know, when we go on long rides he always wants to ride my bike instead of his 929 I don't think he has the spare change for it right now though
