Parting out 2003 Honda superhawk 1000
Parting out 2003 Honda superhawk 1000
I sell salvage parts for a living. Local (Hampshire County WV), on craigslist, ebay and figured I would give model specific forums a shot. I am pretty new to the internet deal for this but have 100% feedback on ebay... you can search me there at: tabithavan1015 ... My email is john_breed@live.com and my shop number is 304 496 8631... I can be reached by either but if it isnt something that's time sensitive it's best to reach me on the email or messaging here as I rarely answer the phone in time... Its just me and my better half (Tabitha) doing this so we're pretty busy...
Anyhow, I picked up a wrecked 2003 1000 superhawk. it was laid on one side then rolled over to the other... so, mostly it was cosmetic damage... the plastics are shot, the tank is dented and some odds and ends were broken like a footrest, a handle bar and the brake reservoir. The engine runs strong and the forks and wheels are all fine so there are a lot of good parts to be used. For an idea of prices I was thinking $500 on the engine with either pick up, or I can crate it if you arrange shipping, $300 for the forks and triple trees plus shipping, $40 for the monoshock + shipping, $40 for the starter + shipping (but will include in engine sale if needed), $75 for swing arm + ship, $100 per wheel w/ decent tires + ship, 1 good V&H muffler for 25 + ship, lock set with ignition, key, gas cap, etc, $100 w/ free ship in usa, and the rest, if there's something else you need, we can go from there... prices aren't set in stone and I will work out package deals... Shipping is mostly USPS from Augusta WV 26704... Local pick up is fine. I will be taking a video of it running this evening and post a link of that on my photobucket account later. any questions, you may also text me directly on my cell at 304-620-ASSY (2779) LOL, sorry, I figured that out some time ago and thought it was funny. Don't take much to amuse a hillbilly! Thanks for your time guys!

Cool deal, If I may suggest, I believe we have a rule over here, if I'm correct, that you need to have pictures for items you sell, It will help you in general anyway.

Not to put down anyone's business, John, but it looks like this bike could have been repaired and put back into use easily enough. Even with a salvage title someone would have bought it. I just hate to see another Hawk disappear from the road.
search for it in the knowledge base for more info.
The wires also plug directly into the unit on the newer model and the older ones have a harness coming off. You would also need a section of the wireing harness from the newer model so you would have the plug for the newer gauges
