I'll soon be looking for a stator cover and bolt; my soon-to-be Firestorm has a banged-up one, and the bolt head appears nearly stripped.

Anybody have one? One that's not polished? Lol.

I experienced a rather epic FAIL on that auction. Watched the clock all day (didn't submit a bit yet) and as the final 2 minutes elapsed, somebody walked in the room and distracted me and I didn't bid. Yes, I was gonna attempt a snipe.

Wonder if the two bidders were anybody here. Anyway, still looking for a stator cover.

Thanks for the consideration, JB! Mine is scuffed up as well, so I'm looking for a new-ish one.

 

the 1999 that I am fixing up had a scuffed up cover as well. I sanded it down with a 2" scotchbrite medium sanding disc on my air grinder - took the scuffs righ out. I then painted it with Duplicolor low glass black engine paint. It looks brand new now. JB

Now that I've actually taken possession of my Firestorm, I see that what I remembered being a damaged stator cover is actually only the stator cover CAP.. the allen head is nearly stripped and there are two nice gouges in it.. anyway, I've got one of those coming, so... like Gilda Radner said
