GA: Superhawk LED Tail Light (CBR Conversion)

I need money and you need this conversion!

This taillight was converted using the board from a Honda CBR 2003-2006 600RR (07 1000RR). It's almost a bright as my other mod which has an R1 board in it. Here are pictures from the finished product as I didn't take any of the process of fitment (wish I had though). The CBR conversion is the one resting on top of mine to compare the R1 to this one.

The pictures make them seem dimmer than they really are. My R1 conversion will light up a stop sign like a christmas tree from 1/10 mile, probably further as I went over a hill shortly after. If you would like any more pictures, please let me know.

I was thinking $80 Shipped in the continental US of A. PayPal works for me.

Over 90 views and no questions or offers? Hmmm ....

I added more photos to the album above. The red plastic was cleaned and polished up quite a bit. I'm not saying it is like new, but it looks pretty good for being over 10 years old.

The two cap nuts you can see are what is securing the LED board to the housing. Inside, there are metal brackets holding the original mounting for the board as this was the simplest and most secure way. I paid attention to the angle of the LEDs making sure they would be effective for traffic behind. This is the whole reason i've made the two I have already.

The earlier pictures were taken from my cellphone, which is why they are not so great at showing how bright these really are. Now, I have access to a better camera and I can see about setting up some other shots at night using my R1 setup on my bike to give a close comparison of how well the CBR setup works.

Also, i'm pretty much out of cash right now, so please make me an offer. Remember, this isn't one of those cheap, eBay tails which eventually have LEDs die out.

Thanks

Alrighty, i'm getting close to having a car after three years of going "two wheels only". I really need some cash for all the little things I need to finish.

I will sell it for $60 shipped, in the continent.

Seriously, make some offers. I want some one to enjoy this thing. I'd love to make another soon, but this one is to fund the next (possibly integrated).

Would it help if I said pretty please? I'll do it.

Just some backround. I just did a similar swap (there is a thread on here that explains it) that cost me $23. A bit of time to do it but I was looking at tv anyway. The trick is that you are competing with that. (both my hawks have the conversion)

While what you describe is true, you are only talking about the cost of doing it yourself with your own tail light and not factoring in your time. Say it takes you about two hours, what would you bill yourself out at an hourly rate; what are you worth while modifying and fabricating? Then add the cost of a used housing. Then add time for cleaning up the lens and polishing it up as close to new as you can get it.

Total Labor: ~2.5 hours (was making $15/Hour at a small M/C shop)
SH Tail: $20 shipped
CBR Tail: $25 local

The numbers begin to add up pretty quick. If this were just for me, yeah, my cost was only $25 for the CBR tail light. This doesn't mean it's what the assembly is worth. Yes, I was asking what it was worth in the first post as I was hoping on some haggling.
