I was wondering if anyone had a fuel tank for a 98?

 

I have 2 tanks and they both need work. If you want something that needs work I have them.

 

what kind of work?

 

I have a red one that has a dent in the top towards the front. Is a complete tank as it came off the bike with the key lock punched out.

 

Work as in they both need dents pulled and a good body man to make them perfect. Both of them were on bikes that were wrecked, one by me as It went past 12 o clock on the pre-purchase test ride, needless to say that I bought that bike! I can post some pics if your interested.

 

I have a nice yellow one with a minor ding/scrape.

I can take a pic if you're interested.

 

I would appreciate pictures of the tank from both of you.

Ok, here is my attemt to post the pics of the tanks.

I'll see if I get get some for you in the morning (3/4/10).

 

The black one which is in the worst condition I will take 50.00 plus shipping. That is for the tank only. The yellow one which I removed the biggest dent from I will take 80.00 plus shipping. If you need the level sender and the petcock I have them too but I dont have the gas cap.

 

You see a couple years ago my father in law went orange county chopper and started cutting on the tank to remold it and it didn't work lol. so all I need is the tank. I'm really interested in the yellow one. Is there any way you could get closer pictures and email them to me? also, depending on the price of shipping I might be able to pick it up.

 

Here are some pics. Actually not sure of the year, but probably not off a '98. )Didn't they only make the '98s in red?) Some others with more knowledge may weigh in on this.

 

'98 was red, '99 yellow and black, '00 yellow.
