Hey guys,

I still have the spare engine I picked up last summer. I don’t know anything about this thing except that it had CCTs (sold) installed. (The clutch cover is also gone.) I’d like to get rid of it since it’s currently in my ice fishing sled. Looking for $150 or BO or trade for .22 rifle, tools, or SH-related parts.

This is a local pick up or delivery (to nearby NH, ME or MA) only unless you can arrange something. We’re in Concord, NH these days.

Its a pretty long drive, but it may be worth it if you still have in in ~3 months. any idea on condition? can you compression test it?

 

Well by his post it is missing the CCTs so it might be kind of hard to do a compression test.

Yep, what he said. I'm sure there are a lot of good parts still to this thing, but I got it in a lot w/ other stuff so I don't know much about it. It made me feel pretty out of shape lifting it into the back of my 1994 Camry, that's for sure. Oh youth!

Come on, someone needs this engine. Tell you what -- I'll throw in an extra flywheel with it!

Ok, here are the promised pictures. I know I sold the clutch cover, but I think the deal for the other side fell 'll see if I have it. I'll also throw in another flywheel for whoever buys the engine.

that looks like a newer engine than a 98, judging by the valve covers

 

Could be. The newer ones had black covers all around, no?

 

I would love to get this engine, but I live in Wisconsin. I would be happy to pay the 150 plus shipping if you were will to ship it. If not, would you be willing to sell (and ship) the front head?

those look to be the same color as my 98 motor I just had out, maybe the pics make it look a little darker, but it's a dark grey with maybe some metallic in it.
