What is "light" ?
How much do you weigh?

Are the spings too light for a 180 lb rider plus leathers, boots, etc.?

I'm about 190 lbs w/o gear.
They were too soft for me doing track days but a great improvement over stock. I went with a .90kg spring instead.
If you have stock springs they would be an improvement & stop the fork from bottoming out on those big bumps but still a little light for you.
.80kg springs are for a 150lb (or less) rider.

Use the race tech spring calculator to find your weight springs
http://tinyurl.com/gx26u
For 180 this is what it said for the street springs:
Rider Weight: 180 lbs.
Recommended Spring Rate: 0.872 kg/mm (use closest available)
Stock Fork Spring Rate (measured): .585 kg/mm (stock)
