FS: Micron slip-ons
FS: Micron slip-ons
As a result of the successful results I have had with my 2-1 exhaust set-up, I am parting with my high-mount Microns. These are in excellent shape and were re-packed just a short time ago. The beauty of Microns is that, unlike most other cans, they are held together with screws, NOT rivets so maintenance is a snap.
I painted the cans black last year (high-temp manifold paint). In terms of sound they have a nice throaty sound without being too loud and getting you in trouble with the donut eaters.
I had them mounted in the standard position the first year I had them (with stock brackets/passenger peg holders) before utilising the aluminum high-mount brackets (which I had anodized black) to place them in the higher position. The only issue is that I am keeping the right mounting bracket (to hold my current Blue Flame can) but, as the 2 mounts are symmetrical, it will be very easy and quite cheap to have a second one made for the left side should you wish to mount them in the higher position.
Should the buyer wish to mount them in the high position and retain passenger peg capability, I will let you know how I did it (relatively quick and easy).
Asking $325 plus shipping (comes with everything you need to mount them, except the left side high-mount bracket as mentioned previously).
cheers

Canada received Firestorms (which mine is) instead of Superhawks (although our 2005 VTR`s were Superhawks) and colour of the bike is one that was never brought into the States (just too darn fast apparently..., you know, legal issues) I am just waiting on some parts to get my powdercoated red PVM six-spoke wheels on. That and the 2-1 exhaust should make it look quite fine (in my unbiased opinion).
talk about perfect timing.... I needed to buy an exhaust, or atleast replacement can for my left side... REALLY wanted a high mount, and even more, black ones....
So needless to say, i'm excited about getting these mounted.

in the mail...
blue clutch/brake levers
black race style foot pegs
black tank pad (just because)
led brake light with blinkers built in
flush mount front blinkers
black bar ends
and got my gauge cluster working again.. (blown fuse)
and now a exhaust....
lost a auction today for some fairings, it just went to high.. but thats gonna be comming soon.
Also gotta order a steering stabilizer/damper or get some kinda of front end upgrade started.... probably damper for now
