FS/FT 1998 Honda VTR1000 (Superhawk)

FS/FT 1998 Honda VTR1000 (Superhawk)
BIKE IS SOLD
Bike is located in Southern California
Price $2,900
Mileage: 27,833
I am the 2nd owner of this CA bike, purchased from a dealer August 1998 with ~2,000 miles
June 2010: new chain, front and rear brakes and front tire and air filter.
January 2011: new battery
Bike has a set of 2Brothers slip ons and V.3 handlebars (clip-ons) and tinted windscreen.
The front turn signals were replaced with aftermarket after a driveway drop.
Motor and supsension are stock
The bike has always been a joy to ride. I've had no mechanical problems other than a leaky water pump seal which was repaired by a local dealer. It's never left me stranded.
I'll be 59 this year and the ergos keep me from spending much time on it. I will miss the torque and sound of that motor but I'm just not riding it enough to keep. No reason to let it collect dust either
Considering it's age, it shows little wear. There is a small dent at the back of the tank and a ding each in the front and rear body work from the above mentioned drop.
I'd like to do a little more dirt riding and would consider a trade involving a relatively unmolested late model DR 650
The sale with include:
the stock exhaust cans, original bars, Sharkskinz belly pan, shop manual, scott oiler (on the bike when purchased) geza cover, tank bra and some oil filters and spark plugs and all the CA smog crap.
If you are interested, have questions or would like more pictures, please PM or email steve52@sbcglobal.net
Thanks, Steve
