FS: 98 VTR-Chicago Suburbs-low miles

********************************SOLD************** ********************
Well guys, the time has come to sell the Hawk. I think I've put under 1k or so miles on her in the last 5 years. I just don't get out anymore. It breaks my heart, but maybe someone out there will enjoy it more than I have.
The price may be a little high, but I will do a bit better for a fellow forum member.
Hopefully I can get some interest.
Thanks for all the help throughout the years!

I see you went with 0.85 kg/mm fork springs - good improvement? How much do you weigh?

I'm trying to decide between .85's and .90's - I weigh about 180.

Nice bike - good luck with the sale

Skokie

Mike, is that you (your bike)?

If not or either way, PM me and I'll come over to look and talk!

Thanks for the kind words everyone.
skokievtr...Yep, that's me.
AndyMX47...The springs were a huge improvement, but at the same time Jamie did the gold valves and the shims. So I can't really say which part made it so much better, but it was night and day.
I weigh about 160, so I'm guessing the .90 may be a better option?

OK see you soon

and I'm 235 and as you know have 100000 straight and twistie miles on .85 springs and I don't push the front to the edge...a fork brace helps, better brakes used judiciously help but its the g's you put on the spring, smooth rather than abrupt is safer on the street anyway, and bump absorption with damping both ways tuned together is the holistic approach to realistic assessment of the number of hours at what pace you need to compromise for at another. Average usage, street vs track
