FS: 2002 Red SuperHawk
Putting feelers out on my 2002 Red SuperHawk. Not riding it as much anymore and have my eyes on something a bit more comfortable. Your mileage may vary, but I have a hard time putting much more than 150 miles a day in, and I need more for my needs.
It's got 22k miles.
It has a new set of front turn signals and R6 OEM style mirrors. See garage pic for latest - the other pics have the older ones.
It has an unbroken rear seat cowl. Has a couple of scratches but is totally intact.
The bike DID have the CCT failure, and the motor was rebuilt two years and 3000 miles ago. It runs like it's brand new and has the upgraded manual CCT's installed for a reliable future.
Exhaust is a modified OEM. It's gutted and shortened (about 3" shorter cans than stock length) and gets a yearly coat of high temp black. They usually need a sanding and respray by this time every year and have not been done yet. The bike is LOUD but sounds amazing.
Bike is a solid 8.5-9 of ten. Aside from minor chips/nicks/etc from normal usage, it looks great. No dents, dings or anything. Definitely looks amazing for anything 13+ yrs old. A really great example.
Between my searches on this forum, craigslist and cycle trader, i'm posting with a reasonable 3900 price. Im also only looking for a local sale (or pickup) in the Chicagoland area, so no shipping or long distance delivery.
I may be open to the right offer, but see way too many in similar condition/etc that people are asking for more thadn i'm starting, so keep them reasonable. I have no NEED to sell the bike.
