F/S 954 forks
F/S 954 forks **SOLD**
I know it's generally considered bad form to join a forum just to try to sell something but I have parts I can't use and your forum seemed like the target audience, so here it is.
I need to replace the rear shock on my 919 and since they're not cheap I figured it'd be a good time to clean out some of the "project" parts I have cluttering up my garage.
I have a very clean set of 954 forks that I picked up from someone on the Fireblades forum several years ago thinking they would meke great USD conversion forks for the 9er, turns out they're way too short for what I need so I should probably take them out of the corner of the garage and see if somebody else needs them for a "project"
I'm asking $250.00 shipped to the lower 48
If you're interested let me know and we'll work out a deal
Thanks for looking
Dan

What we're finding out over on WristTwisters (home of all things 919) is that the CB1kR upper triple clamp should work with the 929/954 lower clamp (stem swapping might be needed) and has handlebar mounts built in
That's why I'm asking. I think SP1's are the closest but hard to find. Not to mention I can use the RC51 brake calipers I already have! (I think)

the 919 has caliper pistons sized 30mm and 27 mm and a M/C of 14mm.
a SP1 RC51 has caliper piston sized 34mm and 32mm and a M/C of 19mm
a SP2 RC51 has caliper pistons sized 32mm and 30mm with a M/C of 17.5
Not sure what the piston sizes are for the 929/954 but I'd be willing to bet they're the same as the SP1 or SP2
Shameless bump with information
Hey voodoo I was Brian over on WT lol small world... Im interested really wanted to go cbr1000 but might could work these out. Buuuut my project fund is being hampered by slow season and bills. Good seller folks
I sold the 9er replaced it with a z1000 that's my daily and I was building a TLr someone made a silly offer on so I sold it and I'm currently building up a vtr that I bought in rough shape. you still got the 9er? awesome bikes!!!
Yeah man it wasnt a easy call for me but the z1000 just barely worked better for me I mean barely. I will say hands down the 9er has a better build quality than the Z but the Z in my opinion has a better feeling frame. My only grip with the 9er was it seemed like it needed 20 more HP and the frame flex I could never totally get used to. If I never rode a Z I wouldve never sold the 9er sweet ride miss it but the 9er and Z are just to similar to justify having both. Good luck with your bike man cool running into you in cyber space lol!
