Carb...
Hey gang ... Been a while since ive been on , hope everyone is good . Im looking for a carb for my 76 cb 750k . Just one , I broke a stem in one of mine and it is not repairable . If anyone has one , or an old set , PM me .
Thanks a bunch ! DENO |
Twin cam or single cam? I have a nice just-cleaned set off an 81 Nighthawk that I took apart.

SOHC ... Not sure those will fit . My buddy has an 81 cb 750 and they are not a match. Do you have a pic ?

Attachment 24264 And like I said , I just need an old body , everything else is good. Thanks DENO |
Can you get the body model off the carb? I might have a spare.
and how is it broken? take a pic of the damage and maybe I can help and the nighthawk is DOHC so that won't work. |

And that looks to be the #4 body (furthest right when sitting on the bike), is that correct? I'll rummage around to see if I have a spare body, but rest assured, it is repairable. |
Thanks rr-rider !
The post is broken on the number 3 carb , left to right. I have heard that JB weld works just fine , but havent tried it . What do you suggest ? DENO |

DENO I've always created a new float post by drilling/tapping the body and threading a rod to go into it. Then I just cut to length, use a dremel to make a small flat where the hole in the post goes, and then drill. Takes about 20 minutes and I have never had one fail yet. If you choose to go this route, you just need to do a little research on the best sizes and make sure to get a bottoming tap and matching dye. I use off the shelf aluminium rod to fix it and I usually add a dab of epoxy to the threads once I've verified that it functions perfectly. Much more permanent and IMHO a much better, cleaner fix. Thereagain, this also requires that you aren't afraid of drilling into your carburetors  |
