Assorted HID Projector Lights
1 Attachment(s)
I know some people have retro fitted these into the stock headlight area with success. I put one one my bike (not stock lighting area) and was very impressed with how much further I can see and how much cooler the lights look even in the day. They are very easy to wire in. Anyways I have a bunch of them just sitting around in my garage so I thought I would see if anyone wants one or all of them up to you. I am looking for $25 for one set up, so a projector assembly, a bulb, and a ballast/ ignitor. You choose which assembly most of them come from audi and BMW. If no one wants one that ok too I just wanted to see if anyone could get some use out of them.

you need some pics of your bike.

how hard are these to install? and do they come with everything to install them or is there anyting we would need to buy? and also can these be installed on a stock superhawk or do we need something to hold the more power of the bulbs?
Thanks, Pawel |
It comes with everything you need to get the light itself to work, the mounting or retro fitting is up to you but here is a post that details it better than I could
https://www.superhawkforum.com/forum...t=HID+retrofit also the bulbs only draw slightly more power when they first light, after that they drop off to about 35 watts draw. At least that is what I have heard, they also actually produce less heat as well. But they are still brighter, so overall this tech is a big improvement over older style halogens |

I'll get some up later, since I haven't taken pics of it since I retro fitted the projector in. |

I have two that have the solenoid switch still attached. This allows the bulb to project the light higher and a little wider, the bulb itself is already very bright and will blind cars like a brights will. That is the reason for the deflector. When it lifts it in essence gives you more range.

Well just FYI... The one's with the solenoid is for use as both highbeam and lowbeam... The shroud down=lowbeam... These are called Bi-Xenon...
The one's that doesn't have the solenoid is for either highbeam OR lowbeam depending on if they have a permanent shroud or not... I'd recommend using the Bi-Xenon ones on a bike (especially the VTR)... otherwise you only get lowbeam... They should all be adjusted at lowbeam to NOT blind oncoming traffic, se your local laws... |
I'll take one. Single speed please. It will be mounted as a driving light or a high beam in my dual headlight setup. either of the european brands would be okay. This will allow me to avoid the infamous chinese knock offs.
Send instructions. I'm a paypal fan if you can dig it> Tom |
ok, pm being sent

I only have enough ballasts for 3 lights and 2 are spoken for (sales pending) the third is attached to the nissan light (see pic) and I would like to keep it that way if possible. Thanks all, I have gotten more response than I thought I would.

all sold as of right now, wow....

I bet some people are gonna be pissed that they missed this thread.
|
I will have more again sometime, although I get more light assemblies than ignitors and bulbs so that is the limiting factor. If anyone wants just the assembly I will sell whats left of those for $10 each. I have one left. No bulb or ignitor for it though.

Uh oh..
and some people are gonna be pissed when they get their projectors.. not all of those are HID projectors, and the ones that are require some work.. the nissan 350z ballast / projector combo isn't meant to be used as a standalone projector. they are used in conjuction with a reflector... E46 bi-xenon's require a fairly tedious circuit to be constructed for the bi-xenon to function. It's not like the japanese bi-xenon where +12v is your power, E46's require 3 wires. Pull power, hold power, and ground. If you wire up +12v to it, it'll blow. But damn, those are really cheap prices. Very kind of you |
Hmmmm... now you tell me...
Cnp, if this requires or came with originally a reflector to work properly, just refund my payment in full and don't ship. |
paid via paypal

To the other individual that got the Bi-xenon, I think this is what we need to basically make the 2 wire adapter to work on the bike.
http://integramod.tripod.com/product...n/bixenon.html Guy lives locally in AZ for me so I am gonna see if he can help me get this going. He sells the part for about 9 bucks. Also Here is an ebay auction for the light holder, if we can find a part number we may be able to get it from BMW themselves. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-E...#ht_761wt_1587 |

I never said that these lights wouldn't require some work to fit, as far as the bi xenon soleniods I was unaware of the 3 wire set as I don't use a bi xenon on my bike but it sounds like its pretty easy to fix that. As far as the nissan light it is a stand alone system but some work will need to be made to protect it from the elements as there are openings. I am not trying to mislead or rip off anyone.

I dont think anyone in the thread is dissapointed as you are selling them for a great deal and everyone knows there are no bolt on options. Let me know if you get any more I may pick up another one for a side project.
