Last November I posted on suggestions on salvaging my hawk - I was too late on adding the APE CCTs and the timing chain slipped and from what the shop said, the front piston is cracked and the front valves are bent.

After a few months thinking about what to do, I decided I just don't have the time to work on it myself and the quote at the shop exceeds the value of the bike, so...

I wanted to see if any enthusiasts on this forum want it first before handing it to the shop's mechanic. Attached are a few pictures I took of her. She is opened up at the shop in Durham NC and would be available for pick up only. Anyone interested?

The only mods I did was to put in a K&N (with the air box mod), integrated front turn signals and integrated rear light (both smoked). I bought it from a shop in Michigan about 2 years ago at 16500 mi and it had dual Yoshimura exhaust on there. She had about 21000 before she seized up. PM me any questions or inquiries - I am not going to post this on ebay but may post it on craigslist in about a week if I don't hear anything from you all.

Asking 1500$ and best offer will have her - title is in hand.

dang alway a day late and a dollar short. well in this case 1500 short and 1400 miles away, still if you dont sell it i could come up with money in about 10 days

yea but 1400 miles one way is about all i can do, 3000+miles one way just a little to much. i can do NC and back in a day and a half and pick up a engine on my way through

 

Not saying this isn't worth getting, I am sure it is.

I just don't get why Anto's isn't selling.
