98 hawk parting out cbr1000 front ohlins rear
alright here in the next week im going to be uploading photos and parting this bike.
History behind it, 1998 VTR1000 superhawk bought it from Iscoot ? if i remeber correctly about 3 years ago and used it for a commuter, changed the oil every 1500,2500 miles with shell rotella t-6 or maxima.
Love this bike but the fact that its already in peices due to a cracked frame and the fact that if i want a dual sport I have to subtract one from the stable..... not my rule but theirs no way the KTM or RC51 are leaving.
Parts from big to small
$400 obo Motor (has about 35000 on it. Just did the top end and brought the valves back into spec. if you want I can post prior and current clearances.)
$350 Front end. 2004 CBR1000 front end from upper clamps to wheel (perfer to sell as a whole) whole kit to include full brake steup from lever to calipers, front wheel discs pads lines forks clamps
$300? Rear end. ohlins rear shock adjustable preload
$50 Tank. no holes or rust but does have a dent on the left hand side ( pervious owners wife backed into it so i was told)
Plastics. GONE
$50 tail peice. decent cond has small scuff on left side
$100 rear wheel. good cond had bearings replaced about 3,000 miles ago.
have everything else for sale also
Prices where found on ebay then subtracted because im trying to get this out quickly and I always hate feeling like I got robbed when buying stuff so if you feel prices are high OBO rules apply
Will also consider trade for rc51 trinkets
Im located in temecula CA 92592
everything will be OBO + shipping
txt 951-252-four715 and if im home Ill text back pictures
thanks
Andrew

umm does this seem like stupid high prices for canada?
this is the price for shipping both tubes and its the same quote it gave for a 20lb box so it would be 260 for shipping?
it would be like 200 if I didn't ship the wheel
FedEx International Priority® 165.21
FedEx International Priority® 149.16
FedEx International Economy® 132.04
anyone have any CA shipping tricks?

I passed on the Penske, e-mailed the chap yesterday... kind of glad I did now Oh, and btw, I won't be bidding or trying to get any others once I get this one (although I will have a well set-up stock bodied unit to part with at some point, with GV kit and reservoir added....)
