Never felt the need for them with basically just a set of slipons. Don't need worse mileage than I already get with gas over 112 a barrel.

my bike would hunt and surge at small throttle openings with the 45's. not so with the 48's

We're talking pilot circuit here! If you run good, you run good. If anything I'm a tad rich down there now. Adjusting the fuel screws compensated for my jetting. I did'nt need no stickin kit. Each bike is different but Honda did not do too bad a job with the carbs and its hard to improve on the headers unless you open up the valves and run more rad cams, etc.

If I'm missing anything, you know what they say...
