Hey all - finally have to part ways with my bikes. I've been holding out for years, but just never going to get back to riding enough to justify keeping them. I have (1) bike in great shape, (1) parts bike and a boxes and boxes and boxes of parts.
I AM NOT SELLING INDIVIUDAL PARTS - but if you want all of the parts, or one of the bikes - I am willing to do that, just don't have the time to sell individual items - so buy them all and make money selling them!
I am located in Thornwood NY (10594) just north of NYC.
1998 Honda Superhawk 996
Title and key in hand. 19K Second Owner – bought it with 4500 on the ODO. Bike is running – just in need of someone to ride her.
It has quite a few parts on it:
· RC51 Forks and Brakes (Calipers, Rotors and Master Cylinder)
· RC51 Upper Triple / CBR 929 Lower Triple / Ducati SS Heli Bars
· Morwaki Adjustable Rear Shock (it also has 4mm Shim to add ride height)
· Jardine High Mount Exhaust (stickers removed)
· Jet Hot Coated Header and Midpipes
· Jet kit / K&N Filter
· APE Tensioners
· Stainless Steel brake lines Front/Rear
· Sargent Seat
· Custom fiberglass under tail and license plate bracket
· R1 Turn Signals
· CBR 900 Rear Wheel
· 43 Tooth Rear Sprocket
· Speedohealer
· Ricks Motorsport R/R
· Polished rim lips
Only things that need to be addressed:
· Battery needs to be replaced – it’s old and will crank/start the bike – but it needs a new one.
· The rear fairing has a broken tab under the seat, small scrape on right side (was there when I bought it) and a few small holes where flush mount turn signals were mounted by original owner.
Parts Bike:
1998 Honda Superhawk 996
Ran before I started messing with it years ago and lost interest, was someone else's project I was going to finish. (Yes I should have known better!) Had 44k on ODO. I’m selling as a parts bike – but I have the title in hand. Would make a decent stunt/track bike.
Key parts on the bike:
Rear subframe altered to attach GSXR tail section. Still needs some work.
VTR swingarm and 5 spoke rear rim
RC51 Front forks and 5 spoke rim
Attack Adjustable Triple Clamps from a RC51 – these are adjustable. I bought them as they push the forks back out 3mm – allowing the forks to be in “stock” VTR location. These triples alone (if you can find them) are worth $1600 new.
Parts:
There is probably enough parts build 2 bike (minus frames/engines). Parts need some cleaning after sitting boxed in my shed – but included is everything from wheels, suspension, brakes, gas tank, wiring harnesses, speedo healer, rims, carbs, new chains, new bolts, etc, etc, etc.…. There are a set of the race tech gold valves in the VTR forks
I have more pics showing MORE of what is included (too many photos to upload), and video of the bike running before I winterized last fall.
Price $5500 for everything! Show up with cash and a trailer!
Hi....Happy Paddy's Day..
I believe you said you would separate the two VTR's.
What were you looking at for the project bike and parts?
Thanks Geoffrey.
I already have 2 98s and 2 spare engines, a frame + swingarm, and a small room full of parts but what would you want per bike and then all the parts separately?
Please PM me.
Are you keeping anything else to satisfy your need for speed?
Just wanted to post up that the bikes/part are still available - the individual had lined up needed to back out for personal reasons - so LMK if any has interest.
I'll reach out to those on this thread who've asked questions.
Sad to see you parting ways though. If you need more traffic, I could share on the Superhawk FB group.
I'll connect on the FB - and I appreciate the offer. Was holding out to going to FB as I was heavily invested on this board from day one and know the people who frequent it are really into these bikes, knowledgeable and know their value. Was trying to avoid the FB "Still available" crowd who nothing of what a V-Twin is!!! LOL!
