-SOLD- 1998 VTR1000 for sale $1000 - located in Southgate California storage locker
SOLD Located California, Southgate. Would love to sell it to a local in Edmonton Alberta Canada.
Awesome bike but I haven't ridden it in 8 years. Had been sitting in storage. Fuel stabilizer added but will likely need carb rebuild. Tires will probably need replacement from flat spots, new battery. Ran like a top and sounded awesome. Had a very rare Yoshimura exhaust. Has cam chain tensioner mod complete. Front brakes are swapped RC51 calipers, master cylinder is swapped as well (can't remember if it's from the RC51 or CBR1000rr). Minor cosmetics for a old bike.
In Storage locker. Unfortunately I'm located in Canada so I can't show it. I will only be able to sell after Christmas once I have the keys and title are in hand (currently with family that lives in Nor. Cal). California non active title.
Breaks my heart to let it go but I haven't used it for many years now. It was a blast to ride around Cali when time and family circumstances allowed. Buyer will get access code and keys to locker to retrieve. Or transfer payments for storage.
Sweet little project for someone. Hope you find it a good home. Certainly not going to see another exhaust like that again any time soon. If you were within driving distance it would be in my garage already. That's a steal for the right person.
Such a fun bike. Really regret having to get rid of it but my -wife- can't justify the ongoing storage costs... I tried hard to find someone that might be interested in taking over the title and storage (local to me in Canada) and give them the bike for free with the caveat that of they ever decided to get rid of it they would ask me first so I can buy it back... but no biters.
I have a project car in storage that i've *gulp* paid 14x in fees than i paid for the car.
Thanks to a half joking comment i made that my wife said "sure" to, then honored when it actually happened, My superhawk is hibernating this year from the coldwet in the livingroom.
I'd jump on that buy-back deal if you were local in Oregon.
