1998 Superhawk for sale

Hey guys, I hope I don't get flamed for joining to post a classified. I'm on www.onedownfiveup.com and we flame guys for it all the time. But given this is a superhawk site, I figured I'd throw it up there for you guys.

So here we go. I have a 1998 Honda VTR 1000F with ~11,500 miles. She's red, and in Mint condition. I bought this bike from the original owner and have all reciepts for services and work done. When I got it, it had 7,000 adult ridden miles...and when I say adult, I mean this guy had two inch chicken strips on this baby. To put it in prospective, I got it with the OEM tires still on it, rode it for the season, and the OEM's are still on there. The guy I bought it from was definately not wrench savvy. He purchased it brand new from bay shore honda in Long Island, and before he had it rolled out, they put micron slip-ons on it, a tinted smoke targa windscreen, full lower fairing, and tank bra. Honestly, I dont know who pays money to have that done but he did. The bike also had an extended five year warranty and I have the maintenance schedule to prove it. Other than that, it had a new back break put on the day before I picked it up. the only blemish is minor chips in the lower fairing...he says from pebbles, I say from him letting it fall over...but make no mistake, it's not rash. Since I've had it, the only thing that's been done to it is oil changes every 2000 miles, and I removed the stock fender and put the turn signals in the tailight. She's really mint and I hate to part with her but i'm moving to a brand new bike. I'll put links to three pics I have below (but they don't show the tail section after I finished it). If anybody is interested you can email me at chris@netfoo.org or call me @ 203-733-7636. I'm flexible on the price because I'd like to sell quick, so don't let the 5K scare you off, it's merely a starting point.

-disclaimer-

The OEM tires, although have tread, should be replaced....you shouldn't be riding around on 8 year old tires. Also, the bike will need to have it's carbs cleaned because she chokes a little bit when you first start it cold, but quickly goes away as soon as the bike warms up.

Thanks guys.

-Chris

**edit...the bike comes with two helmets: matching arai quantum and matching shoei RF 800...also, a new icon timax mesh jacket (black xxl) only worn twice. Just so everybody knows, there is A LOT of price flexibility because i need to sell quick. A new bike awaits me after sale of this one.

Not to be rude, just inquisitive but who painted that lower fairing? It looks 2 shades off. Also, are you located in Connecticut, or is that just the phone?
