Jeffers, I can't believe you're going to do it! That thing should be in a Honda museum. What are you going to ride next?

Wow Jeff! That's a killer price.

Can I ask? What's the title status?

titles free, clear, and ready to transfer.
Registrations good till April 2008

I've been going back and fourth about it as spring of this year approached, when I felt I should make a decision on the sale.
I decided to do what I've done in the past and let the market decide.
I put a dollar amount on what it's worth to me to lose my back-up bike that isn't being used much, but is still costing me in small ways to maintain it at 'ready to ride status', not just stored. Actually it's a strong position to sell something from. I'm prepared to keep it if the market value isn't $2000 and the beginning of Spring is the time to find out.
There's probably a few others out there that it hasn't dawned on yet, about Spring being decision time for selling motorcycles they love, but aren't really using any more. It actually saddens me a little seeing any of my other bikes sitting there un-ridden as I leave on my primary motorcycle.

I'd be different if I wasn't just a recreational rider who drove a company van for work.
Or if I had others in the household that rode.

Jeff,

I'm curious, how has the bike held up after all that mileage. Is the bike 'loose', ie. frame fatigue, bearings worn, etc? Any discernable difference from when it had way less mileage?

Nothing that I can discern. I'd have to ride mine and a newer back to back.
My guess is the fork brace on my old bike would more than compensate for any wear and it would feel as tight as a new bike that didn't have a fork brace. The SV certainly feels stiffer , but that's by design, it's 'nontuna-flex'
Ha ha!
