1998 "Mario Nava" VTR 1000F For Sale
Hey guys,
I just got finished rebuilding a 98 Superhawk and now its time to sell it. I am asking $3500 /obo. Please, if you are interested, make a serious offer! Bike is in the Ft Worth, TX area. PM me with any questions or if you new more pictures.
I will be as detailed as I can on it...
It as 19,543 on the odometer. It has been down from the previous owner only doing cosmetic damage. I rebuilt it and replaced or repaired all damaged parts. The bike runs fantastic.
All fluids have recently been replaced and was just back from the 16k mile service at DFW Honda. (I purchased it with over 16000 and decided to do it anyways to make sure).
The bike has full Mario Nava body work with a custom seat. The paint was done by a friend that restores hot rods and does have a few runs in the clear coat but it is something that can be sanded out.
The right engine cover was cracked and was welded but is fine and does not leak. The headlight is slightly scraped and cracked but works just fine and will pass inspection.
The bike does have a small oil leak around the counter shaft seal. The seal can be replaced but it is not a huge concern.The amount is very minimal. After riding, it leaks a few drops then stops when the bike cools. Nothing to be concerned about.
The left portion of the swing arm has a a scrap where the exhaust was sitting to close (previous owner did not line it up) and was hitting when going over a bump. I made a custom spacer and solved this problem.
The brakes have been rebuilt after powder coating. Has new brake oads as well. Wheels have new All ***** Bearings and seals. Clutch has been rebuilt. Fender has been eliminated with a dremel. A new radiator reserve tank has been installed. APE CCTS were installed by DFW Honda.
Bike has brand new Michelin Pilot Power 2CTs.
Sale will come with a rear swing arm stand and a front triple tree stand. I do have the original exhaust hangers with foot pegs and a full set of hoses in case. I have an extra powder coated rear caliper as well.
