47k miles on odometer, speedo is off by 15% (Reads High), due to stock inaccuracy and gearing change, so actual mileage is somewhat less. Engine has about 30k

Good mechanical condition, fairings have some cosmetic damage, but are completely in tact. A couple of small dents on the right side of the tank, paint is good. The engine was changed at 25k, with a 12k salvage motor due to a bad 2nd gear shift fork from the previous owner, spare engine ran great, just popped out of 2nd gear above 5k rpm, so I changed it. It is included in the deal for parts if you choose.

This bike is a torque monster and is known as the "poor mans" Ducati...

Don't hold the mileage against it, I put 25k on it primarily as a commuter, and it honestly runs like the day I bought it, about 6yrs ago. I've been down on it twice at low speed, and dropped it off a jack once while servicing the front forks, cause of the fairing damage, and tank dents. this bike is very reliable, and will not let you down.

Come on guys', she's no gem, but mechanically sound, anybody riding one with high miles can attest... not even a lowball offer or a part out...?

Damnit, this is exactly the kind of bike I WILL be looking for in a short while, but right now I just can't pull the trigger. I wish you good luck with the sale, and I'm sure -sadly for me- it will be gone soon.
