Buell footpegs, anyone?
#34
Works great
I bought a new set of Buell pegs for less than $40, went down to the local chopper shop and one of the guys handed be some stainless steel bushing material of the correct OD that only had to be drilled out and cut to size. 15 minutes of file work per side and I was done! They are practacally made for it and look more stock than the stock ones. The shifter adjusted no problem, the rear brake actuator had to be shorted a bit and the lock nut removed in order to get it down far enough. Substituted LocTite for the nut and can't forsee any problems. Pegs are pretty close to my stock pipes, but for the needed increase in leg room (I have a 34" inseam) I'll gladly live with it. Combined with a $75 seat mod from Spenser Saddle http://www.GreatDayToRide.com I'm ready for the Iron Butt!
