Yet another problem

ok,ok
now i am lost, now i got my bike back together and running. now i have a problem with the ignition. while running at idle the bike will run fine for about a min and then just stops running. fire it back up and it does it all over again. it sounds funny but it didnt start doing this until i changed out the carbs but ca not figure out what the carbs have to do with the bike just cutting out like that. anyy help or ideas?

chances are that there is a vac or gas line hose off/restricted/air locked. Something is put together wrong. Check your work by goin over what you had out or off.

Well as you say it didn't start until you changed the carbs, that gives you the place to start.

Beside checking to make sure the petcock vacuum line is in the correct location, I would take another look at the carbs themselves.

Has anything been done to them or are they stock?
Did you clean them before you installed them?

i put a set of 2003 carbs on my 1998 hawk. i swaped over the jets to the new carbs form the old ones. the carbs were clean when installed. i do get a burp in the airbox just before it dies so i figured it was fuel related. just not sure what part of it, it is such a pain in the @$$ to pull the carbs to change out the jets. i think i am just going to put my old carbs back in it..... anyone need a set of carbs? lol
