WTF???? Died in flight friday night

Hey all, I'm kinda stumped. After a 45 min ride last friday she died in a parking
lot pulling into a spot and wouldn't restart, clock went dead, and got 2 clicks
from the ignition switch. After pushing into a spot and eating dinner (30-40
minutes later) started up and rode home w/ my fingers crossed. The clock
reset to zero and I noticed that the cluster was dimmer than normal. :brownnoser::brownnoser:Any
help is greatly appreciated:brownnoser::brownnoser:

Your charging system is suspect. Usually it's the r/r (regulator/rectifier) but it could also be a bad battery or stator. If you don't have the manual, download it from here and do the tests.

Had a similar issue a couple weeks ago. Stopped to get gas, tried to restart and nothing. Did get a couple clicks but that was it. Ended up the positive battery cable had vibrated loose. Don't forget to look at the simple things, they have a tendency to bite us all from time to time.

Mine has done the same thing and it was a bad battery! So I went to Walmart and got a new one! On top of that they have a core charge

Checked the battery, was replaced earlier this year, need to borrow a multimeter from one of the techs I work with. I'm leaning towards the
r/r but I can't find specs or the test procedure in the forum for the
stator or the r/r

I took a 6 hour ride from my school in PA to my home in MA when i got off the last highway i pulled into the gas station to fill up and right before i stopped moving it died...checked everything and turned out to be the fuse in the battery disconect cable...
