Won't accept throttle

Howdy,

I just installed a shock. Had to drop the exhaust because the lower bolt was installed on the wrong side. No big deal, just more time. So, installed the shock and now the bike won't take throttle. I did install the smaller tank vent line on the vacuum port of the petcock. It obviously ran out of gas.

So.... I tipped the tank back up, saw what I did, and got things connected properly. Now, it just won't accept throttle. It starts and idles but won't idle without choke.

Sound like a fueling problem? Sure does to me but the tank sat on the carpet for a day and then back on the bike. It was running fine before I started. What the heck happened....

No kinks, the vacuum line is fine, no splits, clogs, etc. What am I missing?

You may have misplaced the vacuum line. It goes where you can't see, not where you think it would.

Slaps forehead! This would be it.

I felt around under the tank and found where it goes. You're right, you can't see it.

Thank you.
