wheels & disc's

Hi have CBR 954 Front forks, Yokes, and Calipers on my bike

but after a front wheel

can you tell me if;

a 2004 - 2007 CBR1000RR front wheel will take the Disc's from a CBR954 RR3 (330mm)

and same question again but using an SP1 front wheel

plus which wheel is ligher the 954, SP1, or CBR1000RR

thanks in advance guys

seb.

The CBR wheels are all interchangeable as long as you swap the discs along with it...

With the SP you need to swap out bearings as well... Plus it's heavier than the rest...

As for which is heaviest between the CBR's, dunno for sure but logic says the 1000RR is probably lighter, but the difference should be negligable... All of them are lighter than the stock by far though...

The 954 wheel is probaly closest in looks to the stock though... The 1000RR is probably second on the list, and the SP is completely different... Could match it to a 900RR rear though, but that's heavier than stock...

i kninda like the look of the SP1 front would look mega with an early blade back wheel on too

but think i will go with the CBR1000RR wheel (04-07)

so just to clarify, what you telling me is that I can put 954 disc's onto the 1000RR wheel?

if I cant I dont want the rim you see.

also will the CBR1000RR use the same spacer's as the 929/954?

thanks again for your help :)

The 1000RR wheel will most closely match the VTR rear. (954 has straight spokes)

The 1000RR will accept the 954 disks (it is what I have on mine)

The 1000RR uses very similar spacers as the 954 (same thickness in the axle dimension, slightly bigger outside diameter, no clue why)

However, I think the over all width of the 1000RR wheel at the axle (hub) is slightly wider than the 954 wheel, it doesn't cause any issues though.
