what exactly does the converter unit do?

so im looking at running different coils on my vfr700, and i feel that i can nicely fit in some automotive coil over plug setups on this bike, but they are almost all under 1 ohm resistance.

my question is this. would i be able to use the converter unit with my stock ign module and run these low ohm coils? my stock coils are 3 ohms.

If you have 3 ohms anywhere on your coils, that is a problem. Stick to the VFR forum not the VTR .

You're not going to run into any problems with the stock system so why swap out?
