VTR Carb fix question..

On gregs website http://home.nycap.rr.com/ghlbo/index.html
it says to change the position of the front carb fuel chamber breather as follows but isnt that the rear chamber breather in the picture?
Would it matter if I placed both of these vents to the outside of the carbs?

Thanks

I have placed them both outside the carb, seems to work fine.

Yeah, you are correct that the pic is not accurate. I didn't actually draw it, otherwise you KNOW it'd been correct, but the intent is there nonetheless. You can leave the rear vent as is. Just move the front one so it points down.

Lol! Ok sweet! Well I love your website by the way and its great that you still have your VTR.. So how is upstate NY?

Hawkrider 08-10-2006 05:28 PM

NY is very nice. I live about a block from some pretty nice twisties. Good roads everywhere, though most of the pavement leaves a little to be desired. Luckily the Superhawk reworked forks and Fox TC shock soak up most of the bumps like they weren't there. I'm sure I'll hate it up here in the coming "colder" months. It's already starting to cool down. :(

Yeah thats one thing that I really miss about Colorado is the mountain roads.. Here in Florida its nothing but straight lines with the exception of a few twisties here or there. And even then its about 2-3 hour drive to get to them.. But im only here for another couple months then im outta here. Just have to figure out where I wanna go next. Deffinately north.. I dont like this much heat and i miss my snowboarding!

Come to upstate NY! I'll show you some great roads!

New England and that region are deffinately on my top list of places to live. I lived in Massachusetts for 2 years before and that was nice but I remember New york was very nice as well. :-) You never know maybe i will end up that way.

What you gents in the Northern states need to do is take up snowmobiling in the winter months. Works for me :) It DEFINITELY takes the sting out of winter and in terms of adrenaline is on par with bikes.

One man's opinion.......

cheers

Oh believe me I love snowboarding. Just got me a new Burton snowboard and step in bindings. Im originally from Colorado so living in a place that has good snow in the winter months is a deffinate!
