vtr calipers on 929 forks

Hi all hav'nt been around in awhile but i have a question for you ive done the 929 front end swap but a mate of mine is doing the same and wants to know if the vtr calipers will fit the 929 forks before he buys them, ive searched all morning and cant find any results.

I cant remember if i tried the calipers before i swapped, i know the 929 are better calipers but he's running on a budget is anybody using vtr calipers on 929 forks??

Cheers guys Alan

I suppose it could be done. The bolt spacing is right though there would be a larger gap between the caliper and the bracket than stock 929.

Hi Greg
arrgghh now i remember it was a big gap and fitting spacers would'nt solve it as i think its to do with the disc centre's on how it dishes if you know what i mean:confused::confused:lol

Since the 929 calipers will work on the VTR with a little grinding, I don't see why the VTR calipers wouldn't work on 929 forks. The offset should be the same.

No, the offset should be the same as killer just noted.
