Tuning Problems

Good Superbowl Sunday!

I have been fortunate enough to get some really useful help for my bike on this website, so I thought I would shoot again.

I have a problem with the bike stalling out. If I am in 6th gear and pull the clutch in as the RPM's go from 4000-1200 everything is ok, then the bike stalls at 1100RPM. Here are the parameters for which I was operating under.
70MPH
67 degrees
1200ft Elevation
Jardine Slip-ons/K&N Filter/Dynojet Stage one
Not sure why this happened, but it never happened when the bike was stock.
Also I recently changed the oil and have a little bit of seapage out of the filiter on the bottom. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you can help please let me know. P.S. Anyone think it a fuel filter problem?

I think I remember reading that pulling the clutch in over a certain speed results in the ECU stalling the motor, it's a programming thing and cannot be over-ridden.

Just engine-brake it, VTR's are great at that

Coasing with the clutch in above a certain speed will kill the motor. Why on Earth would you want to pull the clutch in anyways at that speed?

Thanks

I pulled the clutch to just relieve my right hand of the throttle. Thanks for your input.

Thanks

I will have to watch doing that from now on.

No my hawk stalled but when I synced the carbs it seemed to almost go away. Sometimes when going down a big hill and I am resting my arms from the hawks bad clipons I will coast down the hill. But also when at the track going form a long straight into a tight turn I will get rear wheel hop. but when I pull in the clutch and dont use the engine at all drop 2 gears and then pull like hell out of the corner it is much smother and faster. Bad point about it is that the front gets real light. IMHO if front wheel is off the ground you are slower. But makes for one hell of a pic.
