Track Pressure Recommendation for BT003
Going to run the BT-003 RS at the track. Temps will be in the 90s. Anyone have pressure recommendations? If nothing else, I'm going to start of at 30/32, but I'm not familiar with these tires. usually run Mich's.

hm...ive run this tire alot, always started at 31f/29r COLD. ended up around 34-35 hot iirc, but not too sure. been a while would have to check my notes. (checked notes) on warmers @ 131°F i had good results with 34 psi front and rear. add a psi or too if its two soft and squirmy. take a psi or two out if its too stiff to grip. |
...also, ground temp was @ 104°F
this was a high abrasion track surface (spring mountain in pahrump, nv) medium heat day. i think it was like 80°F ambient. (this data came from the notes i had on my phone, last time i took the 003RS out to the track...early april.) (i keep my data in C unless its ambient, so for C, its 55C on the warmers, 40C ground temp, ambient would be like 27C) |
haha if i had seen this sooner...
anyways im guessing you had the track day this morning for me PST, while you're EST? |
I don't use warmers, so was going to set them at 28 cold for the first session and check after coming off the track. I'll be taking it easy the first session anyway in order to scrub in the new tires.
Temp is supposed to be low 90s on Saturday. Track is abrasive at CMP. The other riders there will all be intermediate or advanced, so I'll probably check with them too. thanks for the input. |
