hey yall, ive been searching around this site a bunch and noticed that alot of people were having decent success with what they call the "tps mod." Now i was wandering if anybody could possibly explain exactly what is done in this mod and if there is a maybe a link or something to show how to do it? thanks!

Yes there's a good link. I followed it when I did mine. Just look in the knowledge base section of the forums. It's the one labeled: throttle position sensor.

The only thing I'd like to add is this: mine was too far out of adjustment for the correction slots to handle. I simply pushed out the metal ringlets for the screw holes. This allowed me to rotate the tps sensor a little bit more to get it back into acceptable range. Also, I used a dremel to slot the "headless" screws and a screwdrive to remove them. I'd also suggest punching the screws with the screwdriver and hammer first to break the locking agent.
