tps
hi ive adjusted my tps from 890 to 410 using the top two pins, now in the haynes manual it says to use the bottom two pins but the reading is over 4000 ohms,is haynes wrong???.also it takes longer for the bike to warm up,it needs choke for a lot longer now, would a needle shim help??? john

bike is almost stock, except partial baffelectomy(8-half inch holes on each can)and k&n filter

TPS here: https://www.superhawkforum.com/forum...ead.php?t=9876
Did you add the K&N at the same time? Because adding a K&N often requires a rejet or needle shimming. |
no i added the k&n before anything else was done.and was running ok.ran ok after drilling holes in cans too but after the tps was adjusted the problem came to light,to me it seems to be to lean on idle, would a shim on the needle help??

If you only adjusted the TPS to cause the problem, try adjusting it back..
The KB sticky says: "Measure the resistance between the top and middle pins" |
