Tiple Clamp Offsets

Does anyone have offset data for the various Honda/Showa triple clamps?

I did a short search and couldn't find it. I'm looking for a comparison of RC51, CBR929/954 and CBR1000RR.

Suzuki GSX-R1000 triple clamps too.

RCVRT, I'm running 954 triples w/ RC51 SP-2 forks and the bike is in the parking lot. I'd be crude, but I'd be glad to run out there to measure something for ya...

Thanks,
RC

Ha.... you want to secret info!!!!

I've been searching for these items for a few weeks lately, plus I did alot when I did my first RC swap.... this is what I found, please take it for what it is, these are not Honda certified dims.... but what I've come across.

VTR 35mm offset
RC51 30mm offset (found this on Speedzilla after hours of searching threads)
929/954 300 offset (mostly due to the fact the triples are "interchangeable" from the RC to 929/954... I beleiv ei also saw that posted on a few CBR forums I searched)

I also recently measured my RC51 upper.... and I measured about 30.5 mm... since i was a little sloppy in my measuring, I'd think the 30mm is accurate... I did the same on the VTR upper as well, got 34mm+ so I beleive 35mm is a reasonble assumption as well.

CBR1000RR and GSX... I have no clue.

J.

Thanks J.
Those are the numbers I had in my head.
A 30mm offset works well on a VTR when you steepen the head angle.

For a track setup on an RC51, 27.5 is the magic number. But it may be on the VTR as well. I never got into a stability problem. I will probably be fine with the stock offset and steeper head angle. HRC made 25, 27.5 and 30 offset triple clamps for the RC51.

I was looking for a direct replacement, but then remembered that the SP-2 has a fat steer tube. I'll run what I have. If there's a problem, I should probably slow down!

when I measure mine I had:
SH: 33.3
RC: 28.6
