Having a similar backup has saved me many times.

 

I take one on trips often... as mine has a USB charge port as well...so on bike I use the powered USB port I installed.. But with bike off, I prefer not to charge from it as I have a smallish Lion starter battery and they do not do well as a key off power source for constant drain.
My jump pack like above fits under the seat for a put it there and forget.
