sticky throttle...

i was hoping someone could help me here. my throttle seems to stick when it is cold outside. not so much a problem during summer, but kinda bothersome during cooler rides. my question is, how do i remove the throttle slide to clean and lube it, i can almost slide it off the clip on but it gets hung up from the cables. and i cant figure out how to remove the clip on. all help is appreciated.

Are you sure the throttle tube is not just dry, Try the simple stuff first like shooting some WD40 in the throttle tube area first

+1

If that fails then you have to remove the throttle cables from the carbs, or alternatively remove the clip-on and slide the tube off. The clip on is held on by a single clamping bolt, IIRC.
