Standard Alarm Fault
 

Hi all.

Recently purchased my 1997 VTR and I love it. Only 2 faults...
Ignition switch wont go round to the steering lock position... possibly some WD40 and a wiggle will fix that???
The other is that the standard alarm fitted won't activate. It is wired in and thebfon is charged and working but there is nothing happening on the bike itself, any ideas?

First idea that comes to mind is to eliminate the alarm. As with most issues with modifications unknown to you, is to go back to a stock baseline.
