Stalling trouble when hot?
 
So Saturday was a perfect day for riding in Wisconsin, however...

The bike seemed to want to stall on and off, but didn't actually do it. I was riding low speed country roads so the bike was sitting just over half on the temp gauge (where the fan keeps it). I made a hard stop and stalled out, nothing new with these carbs, but when I went to restart it and it barely turned over, like it had no juice. It started, but it kept me nervious for the rest of the day. Any similar experiences or thoughts?

Exactly the way the Interceptor went down a couple weeks ago. Don't ride the bike without pulling the seat off and checking your rr and battery temperatures. I was lucky I was close to the shop so my son bumped started it and I hauled ass to the shop. When I took the seat off I could feel the heat on my face. The battery was hot. The rr was veryyy hot. New rr and it's all good.

I've also had a failure on the Superhawk due to a corroded and eventually fried connection in the charge circuit right below the front of the seat. In this case I removed the connectors and hard soldered the wires with shrink tubes. The po installed a cheap finned rr and I was amazed the failure didn't take it out. I put everything back together for about $2

That would suck, I'm already on my third R/R. When my R/R failed the first two times I started lossing power while riding. It was pretty easy to diagnose when the gauges stopped working.

How fresh is the battery? perhaps an auto parts store could test it woth a load

Hmm...now that you mention it I have two batteries and don't remember which one is in it.
