Spring prep - ready to ride!
5 Attachment(s)
So, finally above freezing in Ontario. Dug out the VTR from under the dustsheets and done a few upgrades / repairs;
New side stand (old one was bent...WTF?). New billet shifter (nice piece of engineering - thanks Jamie). Oil and filter change (Motul 15W 40 from the Honda Store). Painted belly pan (looked crappy, a quick wipe and painted with aerosol wheel silver from auto parts store) - works every time! Pics attached...now time to ride! |
it was a beautiful weekend in moncton too. roads are still too dirty and salty for me to ride but someone rode by my house this afternoon!!!

It's a crazy winter in South eastern B.C. hardly any snow all winter put on 175km yesterday! The roads aren't bad at all for early March.

Hey Nick! The sea looks like east coast - Whitby / Filey maybe?
The billet shifter tidies up the gearshift - my old shifter was bent (like that when I bought the bike) so rather than a stock replacement I splashed out on this piece. It's machined from one piece of aluminium (not forged) and is way cool! Dead easy to fit. 10 minutes max. I like your yellow VTR! I almost bought (and I mean was about to write the cheque) a 98 yellow VTR but bottled out when the Dealer told me he would never take the bike back on a trade as it would be too hard to sell. Cheeky bugger! So I bailed on the deal and bought my red bike, a year 2000, $500 cheaper and just 7,000 miles from new. Hi 996...The rims look like stock rims to me, they look factory painted and are in excellent condition! They suit the rest of the bike... Cheers guys John |
