spongy clutch after front sprocket change
Hey guys, think I know the answer to this one but wanted to make sure. I just put a new front sprocket on my bike, down a tooth, and after I buttoned it all back up the clutch lever was really soft. I imagine I got all kinds of air into the system during the sprocket change. I did a quick bleed job and off I went. The clutch feels okay now, but it picks up really close to the grip now, and my theory is that I need to go back and make sure I do a good job bleeding the line of all air.
Any one agree/disagree with my assesment of this? Really appreciate the help. |
are you pulling the lever in all the way when you bleed it?

yep, I am just thinking I need to do a better job of bleeding them.

If it picks up closer to the grip now than before, sounds like you should bleed another time ...
Pulling the lever in and block it for one night could help (works for front brakes..) Turn the bars for your clutch cylinder to "evacuate bubbles to the DOT tank" |

..... just remember to only pull the lever in half way or so when you are bleeding the clutch..... this sets when it will engage. |
