Speedo swap

Does any one know if a digital speedo will work on a earlier non digital bike?

Thanks.

Not without a new wiring harness and sensors.

02 speedo's were not digi....are you talking about the digi temp guage? because that is the only thing that changed digitaly from the early shawks and the later ones

...and a clock....and a fuel gage rather than a light.

Hmm...I think creating a wiring adapter for this type of scenario might make me some buckaroos.

Thats what I meant , not digital speedo
Thanks

That's the entrepreneurial spirit! Fill a need in the market and rake in the dough. Okay, maybe not RAKE...

I would be interested in this too! Although you might think the fuel guage is a digital speedo its gonna move up and down so much ! ( sorry for the bad fuel range joke) If someone figures out how to do it for a reasonable price I would definetly love to have the digital gauges.

I have compared the two harnesses to see if this was worth doing, and decided it was too hard. They are very different. I reckon it would be a big job.
