shock settings after adding 900rr brace

im wondering if the settings ive had my rear shock at before i put on a swing arm brace, still apply now that i have the brace. wondering if the new rigidity of the swingarm calls for a slightly softer setting?

i can feel how much more rigid it is even when im completley vertical like when going over a speed bump, so that leads me to beleive that the stock swing arm had flex in a vertical manor as well as horizontal flex when cornering.

so should the shock be adjusted to account for the rigidity?

I have absolutely no experience with braced swingers on the superhawk... however, I do know that the whole point of bracing it is for it to be more rigid, and to allow the shock to be more of the key player in the rear suspension...

therefore the rear shock is doing its job more now that there is less give in the swinger... so I would say yes, you will have to adjust your shock to your riding style and weight as its always been and the settings may be different now that the shock is absorbing what the swinger used to...

the same concept as racers having to adjust suspension settings due to different tires
