Service and exhaust info

Hey. Im due my MOT on the VTR firestorm 2001. So im going to service it also. I think i know what i need in terms of spark plugs and oil filter. Im not sure what air filter to go with as ive read that some folk have trouble with k&n. Its completely stock so i dont want to mess with carbs etc. Iv seen hi flow filters on ebay. Are these any good?

Also putting a new set of stock exhausts on the bike. Again i looked on ebay and seen some 51mm gaskets for a couple of quid. Are these the ones im needing?

Thanks

If you're wanting a stock OEM replacement air-filter then order it from David Silvers, I've got a reusable K&N along with a dyno-jet kit, with Micron race cans and it works absolutely fine but it did need properly setting up with a dyno and ££.

As for the exhaust header gaskets be careful ordering from ebay as there are some advertised not the correct size or type for the purpose intended. Again DS has the proper copper crush type that ensure a gas tight seal. I replaced all my clamps with expensive non-rot marine grade Mikalor SS. Lastly there are carbon/graphite insert seals between the header section and link pipes , they can handle a few exhaust changes but can get chewed up and need replacing.
